The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture has commiserates with families of the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, expressing concern of safety of lives and thriving of businesses.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Acting Director-General of NACCIMA, Opeyemi Alaran in Lagos on Friday, a copy of which was made available to Energy Frontier.

He said the chamber was saddened by the news of bandit attacks on the Kaduna Airport and that of th passenger train.

The statement read partly, “Our sense of sadness is for the avoidable loss of lives, for which we commiserate with the family and loved ones of the deceased, as well as the humanitarian and economic damage that these attacks have caused.

“As these quantifiable losses mount, the Association is further disturbed by the increasing connotation that our country is unsafe to do business.

“This is extremely concerning given that current economic realities require inflows of foreign direct investment for sustained economic growth. We advocate yet again for urgent and incisive policy implementation by government at all levels to tackle this issue of insecurity.”

Alaran said NACCiMA “is on hand to partner with the government to implement innovative solutions based on existing platforms, such as the Police Community Relations Committee.”
