Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that worship centers in Lagos will be opened come June 19, 2020.
This may not be unconnected to the pressure mounted on him by the Catholic Arch Bishop of Lagos, Very Rev Adewale Martins.
He stated in a statement that worship centres in Lagos could not remain shut while markets are allowed to operate.
The governor had earlier stated that worship centres would remain shut because of the pandemic.
According him, the COVID-19 can easily spread in the Markets unlike the worship centres.
He promised that the worship centres would keep to the guidance outlined by the government on the containment of the pandemic.
