Interstate lockdown to end by June 21

Chairman of the Presidential TaskForce for COVID-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has said that interstate movement would resume on Sunday, June 21.

Recall that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) had on April 22, 2020, agreed to a 14-day ban on interstate movement among all 36 states in Nigeria, effective immediately.

The restrictions applied to all interstate travel with the exception of essential services.

Mustapha, made the announcement on Thursday in Abuja.

Five airports in the country are also expected to resume operations on June 21.
